ILLUSIONS OR PREMONITIONS

by Dovishka Muskaan Shaib

In this new era that we call evolution,

Ruled by desires and temptations,

Where greed is more than needs,

Illusion is seen to be remedy,

Pretending is being priority,

And dishonesty is personality,

Sharing and caring was meant to be preached,

But what happened,

Sharing and caring are now acts to be reached,

In this new era that we call evolution,

Where living is competition rather than,

Self-completion,

Where hope is premonitions,

And fears are questions,

Was it a tradition or just a decision,

Was it a mistake of the past,

Or a future that will last,

Will we see the rise,

Will we see the shine,

Or is it only lies and cries,

How long will we bear,

This unbearable feeling,

that we call fear,

How long will we hear,

That peace is given,

Only after mourning tears.

You have one life, be yourself, who knows that you being too much is the light of someone else.
